Don't Repeat Past Mistakes
Don't repeat the mistakes of the past. Do some homework and learn from past mistakes. You may choose to keep doing those same actions that led you down an arduous path to discontent - in this case you may just as well call yourself crazy!

Enjoy the weather
Enjoy your day whether it's cloudy or sunny. You make the day whatever you want to be. Despite the hurdles that might try to get in your way, be positive and say "hey! I'll get through this!"

The day of your birth
Celebrate the day of your birth. Take the day off....spend a little more.. relax a little more...eat a little more and exercise a little more. Whatever you choose to do, today it is well spent spending a little bit extra in the area of fun and enjoyment. Personally, I am now sitting in an airport on my way to Las Vegas - my second time there in 16 years. I know the city has changed - from sin city to family city and currently back to sin city. It should be an awesome time. Weather will be warm and sunny so I've got my Maui Jim's to keep everything I see rosy! And remember that your mother birthed you... it's her birthday too!!

Exercise
Exercise to what you feel is right. Consistency if the key. No matter what frequency you choose be sure that you can sustain it for at least 3 or 4 months and then modify your routine to fit how you're feeling - listen to your body except when you think it's telling you not to exercise at all.

Rainy Days
Today may be rainy and tomorrow may be sunny. Catch the rays of positivity no matter what the climate. Motivation should always come from the inside no matter what external changes come your way.

BE Active
It's important to be active during the day. Walking around while you work to take a break, have a face to face conversation instead of text messaging, and walking up stairs will help rejuvenate your mind and body.

Rising Sun
Enjoy the day today. I will explore some new dining options and let you all know how they taste. Last night I went to Casa Mono in NYC and I must say that the red snapper cordo was the scrumptious!!!

Slow Motion Snow Flakes
Watching the snow fall in slow motion is such a beautiful sight. It encourages us to remember that building something up will at times happen gradually over time and should not be rushed or assembled half hazardly. Take this time to be positive in the beauty of nature's work. Be careful out there if you fell you must shovel....eventually the snow will melt. Embrace the frozen precipitation and get out there and take a walk or cross country ski or snow shoe around a pond. Enjoy today and don't let the hurdles get you down!

TAKE A HIKE
Take a hike in the snow and watch the tracks as you go. Different tracks signify the different animals in your area. If you walk along a path with a flowing river or creek that's cool too. Take some pictures and enjoy the scenery.

SNOW IN NEW JERSEY
An unexpected accumulation of snow occurred this morning in northern New Jersey. I'm sure there are more surprises in store for us today. Nevertheless I got off to a very early start and arrived at work about 6:39am. I got to work before the heavy snow activity and with that I felt fortunate not to have to deal with the morning rush hour headache. Sometimes the early bird DOES get the worm.

DO WHAT COMES NATURALLY
With today's uncertain unemployment market, it is a good idea that you take the initiative to do what you love. Save up what you can. Improvise where possible and acquire the tools you will need to make a start. Remember to get your foot in the door you need not be fancy from the start. Take my blog for example, I have not caught up with video blogging yet but I will...in due time. That is a goal of mine for the next 30 days. In fact I'm writing this blog from my blackberry cell phone - how cool is that!

Changing Seasons
This month of January has been filled with many surprises - tradgedy and triumph in Haiti due to the earthquake and the will of survivors to beat the odds. The Jets are one win away from the Super bowl. These past few weeks have been somewhat mild in the North East. It is important to remember that bad times will not last forever. You will overcome the hurdles of life and even break through the brick walls that may be in your path.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
I wanna rock right now! The work week is just about over for most and it's time to get out there and hit the ski slopes, ice rinks, fitness centers. Many new years resolution fitness promises will come to an end in a couple weeks. For your own health I trust you will continue in the pursuit of health and well being. It's amazing how the wellness mentality can spread if you constantly share your good feeling about working out and exercising. Don't be shy... spread the news and help motivate those around you.
